Ride: Oakham Treasures Café

A 23 mile (approx.) gentle paced New Year Ride on Saturday January 4th from Coffee#1 Welsh Back, BS1 4AN, at the corner of Queen Square and Welsh Back. Other rides and events are on the Diary page on the website

We will be meeting at 10-15am for a 10-30am departure.

The route will head out along the Festival Way and through the Tyntesfield estate with a morning drinks stop near Portbury at Oakham Treasures café.

We are just visiting the café on this occasion but you can see a fair bit of the eclectic mix of old bits and pieces in this private ‘museum of farming history’ if you use the facilities!

By using a bridle/cycle path off the Festival Way the route goes through all of Tyntesfield on an official cycle path, with only a short section on the road to Nailsea. After Tyntesfield we will be cycling on local roads to Portbury. The ride returns via Pill, Leigh Court, Leigh Woods and Ashton Court. There are some sections of stony terrain, and we may encounter some mud on the ‘off-road’ paths.

Hope to see you there.
