A feast of friendly mini-rides for February
As we edge slowly into the longer days we hasten the end of winter with a merry mix of short rides.
We start with a regular favourite by heading off to nearby Portishead, with its modern marina and Edwardian townscape. From a north Bristol start point we track down some of South Gloucestershire’s less frequented paths and lanes, and sample some new and remodelled cycle links in the Winterbourne area. With ‘Picture Palaces of yesteryear’ as our theme we track down several converted historic cinemas that have been given a quite new 21st Century use. We close the winter season with a gentle cycle to the forgotten treasure that is Kings Weston House, which in its time has entertained kings and sheltered wounded soldiers alike.

See our Diary page for a full listing of all of our past, present, and future rides, also meetings and other events. Most rides start from outside the Arnolifini on the Pero’s Bridge side, but check details of each ride. Click here for a map of all the main staring points. There’s also contact details for the ride leader for any questions you may have.
