When you ride a bike in Bristol you become one of the most visible parts of a campaign for a better future. It shouldn’t be this way of course, cycling should be completely normal and unremarkable. That’s what Bristol Cycling Campaign is all about, “a city where cycling is so easy that everyone does it”.
BCyC is made up of activists and volunteers who’ve chosen to act together to get things done and make a difference, backed by thousands of supporters. Every so often it’s good to pause and take a breath to share and acknowledge what’s been achieved, and that’s what we’ll be doing on Weds 31st Oct at our annual review and AGM (and yes, we know it’s Halloween so we’ll be done by soon after 7pm)
Rather than a formal meeting we’ll be ‘mingling’ over coffee and cake. Drop in from 5.30pm when you can to listen or contribute at tables with loose themes and some of those involved. At about 6.15 we’ll have a short report of activities and finance, with more conversation at 6.45.
The cafe will be open for cake and a hot drink as a thank you from BCyC for coming (lots of other goodies for you to buy).
Dom’s Coffee House, Wednesday 31st October 2018. Meet from 5:30pm. AGM at 6pm. Finish 7:30.
Dom’s overlooks The Centre – it is a couple of hundred meters away (north) from the Bristol Hippodrome on St. Augustine’s Parade, looking down Baldwin St. We shall meet in their historic first floor room.
