Freeways and Quietways (the North) SUNDAY 10 Nov

START: 10:00am Arnolfini

DESCRIPTION: The Ride will head out along the Portway Freeway before following potential Quietways and trails in the Trym Valley to Blaise. We will sample both existing and potential routes to UWE and Southmead Hospital before returning to the centre via Purdown and along the Concorde Quietway. Where ‘off road’ routes are followed an ‘on road’ alternative will be made clear.

FOOD STOPS: Cafe stop at Blaise. Late lunch at St Werburgh’s City Farm

GRADE: Easy

LENGTH: 15 miles

EST FINISH: 2pm

Freeways & Quietways (The South) – Sun 8 Sep

 

START: 10:00am Arnolfini

DESCRIPTION: Starting out along Promenade Quietway before exploring riverside Quietways and lesser known trails near St Annes Park. Then onto the Whitchurch Path before traversing the slopes of Dundry, returning via the Malago Way for lunch at Paintwork’s cafe bar. (NB: there will be some off-road riding and one very long,  steep climb).

FOOD STOPS: Coffee at Horseworld, Whitchurch: lunch at Bocabar, Paintworks, Arnos Vale.

GRADE: Easy

LENGTH: 15 miles

EST FINISH: 3pm
